could resurface. The amount of propaganda that flowed through the streets was endless. As the real cold war, now looking back upon it was not very military but more about politics and saving face (Farber, 1994). If I needed to prepare my family today for a cold war, I guess I would probably take a similar approach as we do here in the state of Florida when hurricane season approaches. Stock up on canned goods, batteries, various camping supplies and of course, weapons and ammunition. Today, with the internet and more open communications between Americans and Russians as people, it is interesting to hear stories of how Russians viewed Americans during the same time period. Many claim that they experienced the same fears, while thinking that America was aiming missiles in their direction. How does the rest of the world view Americans, knowing we still have enough nuclear warheads to annihilate the planet?
