RESTRORATIVE JUSTICE ESSAY 3 founded on the belief that all the parties should be allowed in the process of repair. The parties are given a chance to address the injuries caused by the offense (Herbst, 2004) . The process is usually facing- to face meeting between the parties where failure by one party to appear can lead appropriate action to be taken. Restorative justice and criminal justice are similar, but they differ in the delivery of justice and resolutions. For instance, in criminal justice, it is the work of the prosecutor to ask questions like; when the crime occurred, who was the offender, who becomes the victim, and the fitting punishment for the offender. On the other hand, restorative justice is concerned with all the parties of the criminal offense from the victim to the member of the community; the approach is concerned with finding a solution that will be accepted by all. The main concern of the restorative justice is how the harm can be repaired instead of punishing the offender.
