The principles are divided into two types: they are possible and they are necessary. The first type includes things from the essence of which does not follow with the necessity of their existence. For things of the second type, it is characteristic that their existence necessarily follows from their existence. Everything that relates to a possible being, needs a certain reason for its being. Such a reason is the essential or co-existing divinity that the world produces in eternity. The remaining reasons are inherent plurality. From the first cause, the second causes — heavenly bodies.
