Community engagement - Visit local schools and the community centers. Attending parades and participating in them in the past, normally the local schools play a role in performing and participating in the parade. This will also provide additional ideas for acts and entertainment. Talk with Vendors - Reach out to local vendors and float companies to find out pricing and possible discounts- also ask for any advice they may have from participating in previous events My leadership style would drive my actions by taking the initiative in leading the project and delegating assignments when necessary. Lending more to a Guardian temperament, it would be easy for me to communicate with all involved and plan the event in a structured timely manner (Lewis, 2003, p. 34). Reference Lewis, J. P. (2003). Project leadership . New York: McGraw-Hill. Week 5 Response Hi Mandy, I think providing the surveys is a good idea. This will get direct feedback from the attendees of the parade to provide you with honest feedback. I would also suggest gathering information from vendors as well to analyze their take on the parade and if possible their sales. That could give you an idea of the most popular activities and allow for more ideas centered around those activities for the following year. Recommend three actions that the project manager should take to establish rapport and effective communications with all team members. Three actions that the project manager should take to establish rapport and effective communication would be to try and incorporate some type of team building activity. This should be an activity that would allow team members and the project manager to get to know each other and build relationships. In doing this it allows the team to become more comfortable with each other thus making communication more effective and information better received. It can create a dialog between members and the project manager and help to resolve any issues quicker.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
