for one of the main characters of the book proved that even the horrible acts of the world happen to the best kinds of people. I also think it’s a classic today, because many of us are looking for that modern day love story, and this book can relate to that, as well hitting us with the reality of trying to make up with the past and our mistakes. My favourite scene from the book would have go be the big lunch scene between Daisy, Tom andGatsby, as this is where I felt most frustrated with Daisy, I felt bad for Gatsby, and I disliked Tomeven more as he was a hypocrite.
I think Fitzgerald’s motivation for this book was his wife Zelda, as she wanted the insurance of money and wealth from him, and he received after selling his writing. In many ways Zelda and Daisy are similar as they both have wealth and money in their voice, and Fitzgerald and Gatsby were parallel as well as they had to build themselves up in the wealthy society to prove to their significant other that they were enough for the women in their lives.
