If the product is not the subject of copyright or patent rights, the idea can be intercepted by anyone; 2. Not every idea will be able to become an object of crowdfunding campaign – platforms for placing crowdfunding projects are quite picky about the subject and presentation materials; 3. Investments in such projects for the investor are risky investments. The author can raise money and just disappear with them. The percentage of risk each donator determines by himself. 4. First of all, this method requires a well-developed advertising campaign and a competent summary of the project. That’s all I wanted to say about pros and cons of crowdfunding. Now let’s not forget to mention some tips and tricks in launching your first crowdfunding project online. 1. Decide on idea a. Here are the most important questions that you need to answer at this stage that all influence how much a potential backer will desire your product: Does a product like yours already exist? What makes your product unique ? Are users of similar products hungry for a better solution? Are there enough hungry users to fund your project? Truly understanding your target market is the only way to have a high degree of confidence in your answers above. 2. Select right platform a. There are hundreds of crowdfunding sites these days. They have different sized audiences, demographics, and campaign options. For example, Kickstarter.com is one of the biggest platforms on the market. It can give you a great success if only you can make it to the top of the site. It’s difficult to get featured, and you can get lost in the sea of other campaigns. Or there is a site

called “Publishizer” which was made specifically to help authors crowdfund their books. It gives you a smaller, but a more loyal audience, so it’s your choice to pick between quality and quantity.
