The model argues that it’s impossible to tell someone what is right or wrong but it is significantly important to guide him/her in making ethical decisions. Whereas the model fails to tell us the specific thing to do in different situations, it offers an overview of a typical process to be followed in decision making. Further, Farrell’s model also suggests several factors that influence individual and organization’s ethical choices. Although the model fails to guide us on how we should make decisions, it intends to offer knowledge and insights regarding the ethical decision making processes which are important for the success of different business organizations. In Farrell’s discussion, he recognizes the works of other scholars who have focused on irregularities surrounding decision making and also the several interacting phenomena in dynamic environments which have produced more predictable patterns of behavior.
