issue, as far as rodents, carpet cleaning, plumbing, or electrical, the tenant can call the maintenance staff, at no charge, and have the issue fixed. If there is an issue with the apartment, the liability falls on the shoulders of the management company and they are required to maintain the building. The tenants do not cut the lawn, nor are they responsible for the upkeep of the building structure. Their only responsibility is their rent and the cleanliness of their unit. Purchasing a home is one of the biggest financial decisions an individual or couple will ever have to make in their lives. Financially, it is a smart investment. When tenants are renting, that money goes to the owner of the building. Whereas, when a homeowner pays their mortgage, they are paying themselves, in a way because a home gains equity. A homeowner is responsible for making repairs, but, unlike apartments, they do not have to ask permission to make changes such as paint, fixtures, or otherwise. Another financial advantage to homeownership is the tax breaks. Homeowners can write off interest paid as well as some home improvements that are made, for instance, solar panels. This is a benefit that renters will not experience. Whether one chooses to rent or own a home is a personal choice. After weighing the benefits of both, the most advantageous choice would be to own if financial gain is what is sought. However, if the individual lacks the ambition to mow their own lawn, or repair a leaking pipe, renting may be the way to go. Although, if one is hoping to host a holiday party, they may need to consider homeownership so that they avoid the noise complaints that come with adjoining spaces. Homeownership is the most advantageous choice for the sake of freedom and financial stability.
