Trying to keep workers happy while working at the appropriate speed to accomplish the time planned earlier. UPS expects management to be able to carry out their business plan each day no matter what conditions they are faced with, whether it is a weather problem or a lack of work or workers. There are a few things that can be factors for their strategic planning, which is something they must think of each day of planning. The first is that knowing the volume can start the process of the fastest completion time. Second would be the number of employees at work that day, which is the second element of the completion time. Last factor would be the average completion time of the building, which would account for planning out the employees in certain sections on heavy days or days where people are out sick. the upper management will have a few things to account for. Management is always planning all operations around three main items, the flow or volume, the time it left of the building and the number of employees available to work. These are the main factors for all planning with in the building. When it comes to plans, UPS has many plans, but most are the same with slight variations of the people teamed up. UPS management has their hands full with all the chaotic activities that go on with each day to day operation. It can become hard to expect each day to go as plan as perfect as originally
