This will mean putting key ideas in your own words in a way that shows that you really understand them. • Provide a clear, sophisticated, plausible, and thoughtful analysis of how the theory or concept is understood and applied by at least three different authors, including putting those authors into dialog with each other and the original text. • Demonstrate a thoughtful, creative, and serious engagement with the theory by applying it in appropriate and sophisticated ways to a well-chosen object of study. • Use and cite your sources correctly in Chicago style (full footnotes with bibliography). • Structure your paper clearly, using transitions, internal previews, section headers, etc. • Write not just in a clear and concise manner, but also with flair, proofreading carefully in order to make the paper nearly error-free.
