5. It was a term of the guarantee agreement that in the event that Mr Blue does not fulfil his  repayment obligations under the loan agreement, the defendant must make payment to  the plaintiff of the outstanding amount within 30 days of demand. Particulars Clause 2 of the agreement provides that, after 14 days of Mr Blue’s default under  the loan agreement, a demand may be sent to the defendant requiring payment of  the outstanding monies within 30 days. 6. In breach of the loan agreement, Mr Blue did not repay the loan monies on 1 October  1998 and at the time of issue of this writ, no monies have been repaid. 7. On 15 October 1998, a letter of demand was forwarded to the defendant, seeking  payment of the loan monies within 30 days. Particulars The letter of demand, seeking payment of $200,000, was prepared pursuant to  Clause 2 of the agreement and sent by certified mail on 15 October 1998 to the  defendant’s home address at 255 Gatehouse Street, Parkville. 8. Further letters of demand were forwarded to the defendant on 1 January 1999 and 1 July  1999. Particulars
