assesses youths with a variation of disorders and disabilities. It is also used for evaluating functioning in youths with developmental and neurological conditions. T here are two validity scales to measure negativity and inconsistency of answers. Grades on the negativity scale records the range to which the person taking the test answered selected items in an oddly negative way. Grades on the irregularity scale indicate when the respondent answered alike items in a varying way. This valuation is given to students through either their parents or a teacher’s questionnaire. It can be administered independently or in a group. The age demographic for this test is 5 to 18 years of age. There are 8 skills being viewed and taken into consideration throughout BRIEF. The BRIEF is easy to manage because it demands a copy of the form and a pencil. The parent 3

BEHAVIORAL STANDARDIZED TESTS form is completed by a caregiver or a parent. To maximize results, the exam is preferred when both parents are present (PAR, 2018). Element 2 It is important to understand the test make up as well as the skills being graded. The ASEBA test focuses on whether a youth’s behavioral concerns are revealed as problems (Bogan, 2017). The exam was established from a prototype which was founded on developmental psychopathology (Achenbach ,2018). The second valuation is the BASC-3 which views the behavior in youths. It is a test used in youths with ADHD. This is because it can identify the differences amongst hyperactivity and attention problems by using a single instrument (Konold, 2017). The skills that are graded on the BASC-3 were originated from teacher and student studies. The items on the valuation were studied and changed by many experts prior to releasing the final BASC-3. The third assessment is the BRIEF, which uses eight clinical gages to record executive functioning. This valuation was created to display what is known about executive functions and the role of developmental factors (PAR, 2008). The creators of BRIEF note that executive dysfunction comes from several parts of the brain, and not only the prefrontal area like many beforehand stated. The clinical gages in this valuation individually contain high validity. The BRIEF evaluates ADHD in youths and is proven to be dominant when related to other ranking systems such as the BASC. Element 3 During each standardized exam, the exam creators offer supplies to assist in delivering and comprehending the examination clearer. The exam providers describe 4

BEHAVIORAL STANDARDIZED TESTS the four valuation ages clearly by describing that the age groups are planned for as well as the time it will take to administer each exam. For the BASC-3, the ages range from 2:0-21:11 (TRS and PRS); 6:0 through college age (SRP) and the test is given in other languages. Time to take the exam is 10, 20 (TRS and PRS), and 30 minutes (SRP). Results are translated though the use of T scores and percentiles (Pearson, 2017). General population and clinical populations provided enough information in understanding how to administer the test (Farrell, 2016).
