QUESTION 2 1. Each of us reacts habitually when we see money on the ground; we bend over and pick it up. Describe how you would get employees to avoid improper bending to pick up items from the ground in situations such as this. Use the four Es: empowerment, encouragement, education, and enlightenment. Your response should be 200 words. I
training goes, I think it needs to be continuous. Everyday reminders before the start of a shift can help keep it fresh in the employee’s mind. Having those reminders every day, I think, helps the message to sink in and employee’s will start doing it without thinking about it. Also, praising employee’s when you see them using proper lifting techniques is a great thing. We should be encouraging employees to say something to another employee if they see them lifting improperly. If everyone holds each other accountable I think there would be less injuries. I believe that it also increases the chances of employees asking for help to lift heavy objects. For some people it is hard to ask for help and I think getting employee buy in gives them permission to ask.
