offering health insurance, etc.? Would this entice people to work there? Why or why not? Starbucks was making sure they had very happy employees, that was their culture. They were at an astonishing 80% to 90% job satisfaction rate. If you were to compare that to the competitors, they are in a league of their own. They just seemed to care about their employees. Even just entry-level jobs were offered health insurance and stock in the company. As I said, they had happy employees. If you put them in the ‘fast food category’ they have the absolute lowest employee turnover numbers. JUST 70 percent compared to 300% from other fast food places. What do you think about the training program at Starbucks? Is this an effective way to train? I really like how they just teach to be friendly and to just say “yes”. They wanted to ensure that the customer was always right and that they never lost them for a lack of customer service. They trained very well. Does Starbucks have a good system for measuring service performance? What should they change? They do mystery shoppers that measure a lot of things. Like the cleanliness of the place, the speed of service, the quality of customer service and all of these things are crucial to ensuring success. I think that they can change this by making this mystery shopper a more regular occurrence. That would really ensure that all employees and stores are doing their best that they can do.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
