Hiding facts may be one factor contributing to the divisions of the nations, but not letting Taiwan join the WHO is another factor too. China refuses to let Taiwan as they claim that Taiwan is part of China when the reality is, Taiwan, an independent country. Huge debates took place before, but China still stubbornly claims that Taiwan will not participate in this organization and will relay any new updates to them. But there is a catch; China states that they will give the information if and only if Taiwan asks to access the information, who knows what unreasonable demands China will ask from Taiwan in exchange for this piece of information. Within WHO, countries are supporting the choices of letting Taiwan join; at the same time, some countries don’t recommend doing so. Because of this debate, a line is drawn and divides the organization into two different sides. But in the middle of all these problems, why are China brings up another political debate? China claiming Taiwan as theirs will not make the virus go away all the sudden, and this action definitely will not help them find the cure either. This action will only make unnecessary and time-consuming arguments.
