-Lakewood has many sponsored events through Lakewood Alive ; we will join forces and arrange venders and fun activities with prices/games. The event will be for four hours, in the late summer prior to children attending school. -We will raise money for the event/vaccinations by allowing local business to set up a tent for a donation of $100 per allotted space, 100 spaces provided- this will help pay for the vaccines/supplies we well. Along with any donations raised within the community. - Vaccines will be provided for children and blood pressure monitoring for adults. - Portable Blood Pressure Monitor: $ 20.00, 3 needed= $60.00, will give away at end of day with raffle. -There will be a family One Mile Family Run and Walk, we will find a local sponsor, in previous years it has been Lakewood Family YMCA and Lakewood City Schools Community Recreation & Education Department. -We will ask popular local bands and local professional teams if they would volunteer their time as well to come play for the event. -Rent a bounce house. $ 500/day. -We will involve the local fire department and ask them for volunteers to teach about fire safety

Price will vary per child, based on requirements needed. -We will partner with the CDC and the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program that is federally funded , providing children in need, free of cost vaccinations. - Most insurance companies will pay for children to get vaccinated; we will work with them locally as well. -Educational packet of information will be sent to all school aged children within the city. Packet will consist of four pages. First three will be when/how to vaccinate your child and ‘bust the myths’ surrounding them. The last page will include a form for parent to fill out with what vaccines child still needs. They will send the form back into doctor’s office or office located at city hall. This will help us preorder the vaccines needed for the event. -Approximate number of students within Lakewood city schools: 5,100. 5,100 x 4 = 20,400 pages. -Flyers will be placed with local hospitals/Doctor’s offices. Approximately 16 Pediatricians- 3 pages per Doctors office, to be advertised in waiting room= 48 pages needed.
