2. RESEARCH METHODOLOGY In this research study, both primary and secondary data was collected. The primary data was collected through interviews, participant observation as well as conversation. Semi- structured interviews questions were circulated to the ASC staff members, past performance participants and students representatives. Some interviews were conducted through phone calls and audio calls especially for the recent performance participants who were far away from the campus. It was only possible for those participants whose contacts were available within the ASC participants' records. Participant's observation method was very useful in this study as it provided the researcher with the opportunity to observe the center features and the live artistic performance feeling. For instance, beyond touring the four venues, the researcher attended the Alabama Symphony Orchestra live performance in Jemison Hall. During the event, the researcher was able to interact with various regular participants and recorded their feelings. The researcher had an opportunity to observe how activities take place in the venues. The researcher engaged in constructive conversation with the hall staff, participants. Also, the researcher held

The researcher also extracted secondary data from online published reports and articles which contained ASC information. The ASC history was available from the online sources as well as the past, current and upcoming performances to be hosted there ( Stephens, 2005) . The online extracted data related and married very well with the data collected through observation and interviews. However, the researcher faced some challenges during the participant observation. First, most of the participants in the event who the researcher approached were busy enjoying the performance rather than concentrating on the asked questions. Also, after the performance ended, most of the participants were still busy taking photos within the facility. Therefore, it was had to have enough time to respond to the researcher's questions effectively. Second, some of them approached participants were new to the place hence had little knowledge of how various activities take place. Also, the researcher was only able to attended and observe only one event in the center due to limited time during the study. The interview process main challenge was the dependency on the response given by the participants where some of them were exaggerating things. Some of their answers were biased and other participants had a reduced articulation of issues as well as the inability to remember how events took place . 3. INFORMATION ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION The main objective of this study was to show Alys Stephens Center as an art source which entertains and educates the community through art performances. Therefore, after
