Rinne test evaluates by testing air
conduction to bone conduction. A tuning fork is
placed against the patient’s mastoid bone, and the
patient is instructed to signal when the sound is no
longer heard.
Then, the tuning fork is placed near
the auditory canal and the patient is instructed to do
the same.
