With this, being able to study and test his three-condition hypothesis were next. “Roger’s main goal was to evaluate therapy through methods that were objective.” (Cervone & Pervin, pg. 151, 2019) In order to better be studied, he allowed for himself and his colleagues to be taped and even filmed at times. This was done while being present in a therapy session. I believe during these times; it was more of an experimental research design. However, as time passed, and even with two of his students conducting research on the matter, using Q-sorts, the correlational designs became present. Do you think Rogers conducted his research ethically? Why or why not? I do think that Roger’s research was conducted ethically. He looked for better was to be able to test his theory and made sure that each patient remained confidential and respected. During this time, the research was still new, and over time, changes are usually made. However, during this time, Roger’s did what he needed to do to ensure ethical standards and permission from anyone involved. References:
