Whats your all time favorite movie using a classic

This preview shows page 11 - 14 out of 14 pages.

“What’s your all time favorite movie?” Using a classic line should ensure I don’t mess anything up. Cruz looks over at me with an amused expression. “Let’s see. My favorite movie would have to be,” He pauses to think.”The Lion King.” He smiles genuinely. I’m at a complete shock by his answer. “The Lion King? That’s a great movie. Why is it your favorite?” I’m very intrigued now. “Well, the poor little lion cub had gone through something terrible, and felt so alone. He felt everything was his fault. Then over time, he finds himself through the help of those who were real with him. What about you? What’s your favorite movie?” Looks like it’s Cruz’s o turn to poke and prod at my personal life. Do I even have a favorite movie? I’ve never really thought about it before. I’m more of a book lover than a television watcher. Although, I’ve always been a fan of the movie ‘Warm Bodies.’ “ Warm Bodies would have to be mine.” I shrug like it’s nothing. “Hmm, you’re a zombie chick, aren’t you?” Cruz says with a wicked grin. “What can I say, I like the blood and gore of the zombie apocalypse. everyone who ever got me in trouble would most likely be dead.” I shrug again with a smile. Trying to make my seriousness seem like a joke. Cruz lets out a hearty laugh and bends forward resting his hands on his knees. He looks like he can’t breathe because he’s laughing to hard. Amused by his laughter, I roll my eyes with a smirk, “Are you going to finish cooking my food or die from lack of oxygen.” I eyeball the Raviolis. He stands up straight still smirking like a guppy, and nodding indicating he’ll finish cooking my food. “Good puppy.” I say while grinning. He turns around and looks at me and says in a conflicted way, “What did you say?” Confused on whether he’s joking or being serious, I don’t know how to respond. “What did you think I said?” I ask trying to not restate my original statement. “Did you call me a puppy?” I blush,”Yeah.” I say while internally dying. He raises his eyebrow, “You think I’m a puppy, huh?” “I suppose so.” I say hesitantly. (Cruz’s point of view.) She thinks I’m a puppy, how cute. Does this mean she likes me, or does this mean we’re strictly just friends? I want to ask her but I don’t want to seem desperate. “Hm, cute.” I say turning back to the Raviolis. Oh shit! I practically just called her cute. She’s going to think I’m a creep. She is looking at me strangely, is that what she’s feeling right now? I continue to make her Raviolis, trying to play all of this off cool.

“What’s your favorite type of food, Valisity?” I ask trying to clear the mixed tension between us. I remain facing the Raviolis tempted to glance back at her.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
