Joseph is redirected to not talk out of turn and raise his hand. 2. Joseph gains attention from peers when they laugh after that comment. Joseph also gets verbal redirection from teacher “that comment was not appropriate Joseph” 1. Joseph is sitting as his desk while the teacher is giving a lecture in front of the class. 2. Joseph sits at desk. 1. Teacher is giving a lecture to the whole class. 2. The teacher answers questions, that other students have in class and not paying attention to Joseph. 1. Joseph will then write down on paper questions or comments. Joseph will sit quietly in his chair and raise hand wait to be called on. Teacher will set timer Group time Instruction. Teacher will prompt Joseph to write down notes. The teacher will also give cue when it is an ok time to come up and ask questions. When timer goes off, then teacher will go up to Joseph. When the teacher is answering question, another student had. Another student is answering questions getting attention from teacher. Joseph will make notes and comments on paper Share appropriate comments when it is time. Get positive reinforcement on raising hand, staying in seat and not shouting out. Joseph talks out of turn by shouting out inappropriate comments during the lecture that is being given to the entire class. Joseph will raise his hand to participate in discussion. When he shares comments, they will be appropriate and staying on topic. Joseph will raise hand and wait to be called on and get positive reinforcement from the teacher for doing so. He will receive verbal praise when the comments he wrote down are appropriate and share with the class. Joseph will receive verbal attention after timer goes off for not shouting out. Teacher will verbally redirect Joseph that he needs to raise his hand. The teacher will remind him to focus on the topic/task at hand. Peers also laugh at his behavior of talking out of turn.
