Action plan In future, I intend to enhance and develop my assertive skills, mainly, when providing care to patients alongside other healthcare professionals, to ensure the safety and well-being of patients is upheld. Thus, in my subsequent clinical placement, I will inform my facilitator of this objective; so that he or she can improvise approaches that will enable me to learn and accomplish this goal effectively. Conclusion Having noted the health risks of likely cross-contamination through hands, I have learnt that it is crucial for healthcare professionals to adhere to necessary safety measures to avert clinical malpractices that may harm patients. In Mr Kheri's case, the doctor should have worn protective gears such as protective clothing and gloves to avoid transference of micro-organisms or other infections that could have posed adverse health risks to the patient. Following this experience, I have learned that as a nurse student I need to be more assertive and prevent or report a practice that may harm a client.
