of having my credit card information being stolen. A few years ago, an employee at Bank of America called asking if I bought two American airline plane tickets to London. The bank called to check because I always fly Southwest. The bank then proceeded to cancel the charges, and began an investigation, and sent me a new card. Bank of America is starting a trial program to reduce a person’s information from being stolen. It is in the trial phase as they sent their customers emails to see if there is an interest to participate, so there is not information online quite yet. Bank of America’s new anti-fraud technology is having an electronic strip for the three-digit code on the back of the card. The code would change every four hours to reduce fraudulent use. There are also new card designs to help reduce fraud. Slate's website talks about how credit cards have new ways to protect personal information. Having flat card numbers on the back and having a chip are boosting security. If I notice that my physical card is stolen I lock my card immediately and proceed to call the bank. If I notice charges on my banking app I report them immediately so the bank can start a
