4. Would you rather work as a veterinarian with birds or reptiles? Why? As a veterinarian I would rather work with birds because honestly I have a small fear of snakes. Also I really like birds and I would be able to always be surrounded by parrots, cockatoos and all types of birds. And having the knowledge to treat and cure diseases such as aspergillosis and avian influenza would save so many of their lives. 5. What do you think can be done to prevent some of the viral infections in birds? What actions do veterinarians and caretakers need to take to protect birds from these infections? In order to prevent viral infections within birds, those who are infected should be isolated and kept away to prevent any spread. Birds should also be vaccinated and fed proper food and water. As well as keeping a proper habitat. Veterinarians and caretakers need to regularly check for contamination within the environment and make sure to prevent the

spread by constantly keeping an eye out for those who may be infected.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
