was spanish my native tongue. Being born in the United States changed the language my Dad forced to me speak English when I was little. Now today I am able to speak English fluently but not Spanish. I am able to understand when people speak in spanish but when I speak I have a weird accent and forget some words in the moment. I was verbal than written i practiced when I was little I practiced the a,b, and c’s sang songs

so I can learn the language easier. The reason i remember this things was because my dad was always on top of me wanting me to learn the language and become fluent in English. He always wanted me to strive better in doing better and by him doing this I am now a fluent English speaker but it came with a price slowly forgetting my native tongue. A time when I was proud of my ability to communicate when i was able to translate spanish to english to my little sister. At the time my sister wasn’t really fluent at spanish until around 6th grade. But everytime when our grandma took care of us my wasn’t really fluent at spanish at the time so I had to translate when she wanted to ask something to my grandma i was basically the translator for both of them.
