How FSB works? The term of FSB is used to describe the CPU data bus. This bus carries all information that passes from the CPU to other devices within the system such as RAM, PCI expansion cards, hard disks, and others. The FSB speed can generally set by either using the system BIOS or with jumpers located on the computer motherboard. While most motherboards will allow you to set the FSB to any setting ensure that the FSB is properly set unless users plan to Overclock the computer. Most of buses nowadays serve as a backbone between the CPU and a chipset. This chipset (usually a combination of northbridge and southbridge) is the connection point for all other buses in the system. The PCI, AGP, and Memory

buses all connect to the chipset to allow data to flow between the connected devices. These secondary system buses usually run at speeds derived from the front side bus speed. In others word, a faster front side bus means higher processing speeds. For example Pentium 4 has a “400Mhz FSB (Front Side Bus)”, but it is in fact 100 MHz ‘quad pumped’. That means data is transferred twice per clock cycle, on the rising and falling edge and also transfers two bytes of data at a time to effectively give four times the throughput of a 100 MHz front side bus. How fast your processor runs at is determined by applying a clock multiplier to the front side bus speed. For example, a processor running at 650MHz might be using a 100 MHz FSB; this means there is a clock multiplier setting of 6.5, thus the CPU is set to run at 6.5 times the MHz speed of the front side bus: basically equating to 100 MHz x 6.5 = 650 MHz. Athlon processors are available in multiples of 100MHz, 133Mhz, 266MHz 333MHz and now with the AMD K8 3200+ and AMD Athlon64 FX-51 1600MHz FSB.

Choosing a Digital Camera There are a few main components in digital camera. Among the main component are picture quality, batteries, disk storage, memory storage and others. The main two components that are most influence my decision when purchasing a digital camera is picture quality and memory storage. Picture Quality The picture quality of a digital camera depends on a few factors, including the optical quality of the lens and image-capture chip, compression algorithms, and other components. However, the most important determine of image quality is the resolution of the CCD (charge-coupled device). The more elements mean the higher the resolutions, and hence the greater detail that can be captured.
