5. If I could be any character in the book, I would be Michael. Even though he had a very rough childhood, he was taken in by a very nice family who cared for him and loved him very much. They helped him find his passion in football and eventually become one of the most desired players in the sport. 6. The entire Touhy family had the quality of acceptance. They took Michael in as part of the family not caring that he was black and from the ghettos, or what other people would think of them. This is a key quality to develop in myself over the years.

7. When Michael was a young kid he always dreamt of being the next Michael Jordan. However, when he went to basketball the coaches told him he had no chance of being like Michael Jordan and that he would never be good at basketball. This really discouraged Michael but he didn’t stop playing basketball. This reminds me of something similar that happened to me a few years ago. I really wanted to get into Honors Orchestra at my school but you had to audition for it. Most of the people auditioning were older than me. That year I didn’t make it and I was very disappointed but I didn’t give up. I tried out the next year and made it! 8. A lot of the book was about the technical part of football, which confused me a little because I don’t know the rules of football very well.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
