2. Additionally, you must do two (2) responses for each topic each week. These must be at least 100 words minimum each. Response posts are due by Sunday at midnight each week. 3. All posts must be collegiate level writing - spelling, grammar, and content are all counted (see rubric below). Your opinion matters, however you are required to have at least two outside sources/references to back up your opinion. You are required to document those references within your post as well as a works cited entry at the end of your post. All writing and citations will be in the APA Style format. You are required to use college level grammar and punctuation. Please remember this isn't AIM, Facebook, or Twitter. You can't use abbreviations and lower case text and expect to get full credit. Please refer to the APA Style hyperlink in the Content Section or the Polk State College Library website for guidance on documenting your sources in APA Style. CJL 2130 Criminal Evidence and Procedure Quizzes There will be a quiz each week during this course. The grades on these quizzes will account for 20% of your final course grade. Unlike other courses you may have taken, YOU WILL ONLY HAVE ONE (1) ATTEMPT AT THE QUIZ each week. The Quiz for each week MUST be completed by Sunday at midnight each week. (See Assignment Schedule for exact dates) If the Quiz is not completed and submitted by midnight on the deadline date, it will receive a grade of ZERO. Self-assessment activities: In weeks 4, 5, and 7 there are self-assessment activities you may complete should you wish to test yourself on your knowledge of the material covered in the text book. The self- assessment activities help with key terms and objectives. Final Exam There will be a final test given at the end of this course. The test grade will account for 20% of your final class grade. Your success on this exam will weigh heavily on your participation in the course discussions. The instructor reserves the right to apply a curve if necessary. Grades for the Course All weekly assignments will be graded your grades will be posted each week to the grades link. A grading rubric has been set up for the discussion posts as well as the Thought paper. See Grading Rubric in the Content section for more grading details. If the final exam is posted late, it will not be accepted.
