5. Three Unit Exams , which are completed in the CengageNOW Homework System which is accessed via the Canvas link in your weekly assignments module . 6. Four Comprehensive Project , which are s assigned and completed in Canvas . 7. Participation in Online Discussions , which are assigned and completed in Canvas . Grading Procedures 1. Weekly Assignments: Each gradable week begins on Monday at 12:00 a.m. and ends on Sunday at 5:00 p.m. 2. CengageNOW Homework System Assignments: Submit online , as indicated in the “Weekly Assignment” module. Unlimited Attempts are given for all Homework Assignments and all Unit Exam Reviews . All Homework Assignments and Unit Exam Reviews are graded on the accuracy of your submission. 3. Chapter Quizzes: Submit online , as indicated in the “Weekly Assignment” module. Two attempts and 30 minutes are given for each chapter quiz. All Chapter Quizzes are graded on the accuracy of your submission. 4. Chapter Tests: Submit online , as indicated in the “Weekly Assignment” module. Two attempts and 45 minutes are given for each Chapter Test. All Chapter Tests are graded on the accuracy of your submission. 5. Unit Exams: Submit online , as indicated in the “Weekly Assignment” module. Three unit exams will be given. Each Unit Exam will cover 3-5 chapters in the textbook. One attempt and 185 minutes is given for each unit exam. All Unit Exams are graded on the accuracy of your submission.

4 Grading Procedures - Continued 6. Comprehensive Problems: Submit online , as indicated in the “Weekly Assignment” module. Each of the four Comprehensive Problems will be submitted through the Online Classroom. Each Comprehensive Problem is worth 50 points and is graded on the accuracy of your submission. 7. Online Discussions: There will be 5 Online Discussions. Each Online Discussion is worth 35 points. Each student is expected to view at least 1 of their fellow classmates’ commentaries and to reply to at least 1 of their fellow classmates’ commentaries. All grading in this course is based on specific individual performance. Thus, class averaging and/or grade curves will not be utilized. Letter grades will be assigned using the College accepted scale below (no plus or minuses will be attached). In addition, total points available in the class may change (increase or decrease) due to class time availability. Furthermore, you are responsible for keeping track of your grades and should bring discrepancies to my attention immediately. A standard 10-point scale is used in which all points are totaled up and the percent of points obtained yields a corresponding letter grade. Grading Scale: Letter Grade: 90 -100% of possible points available in class A 80 -89% of possible points available in class B 70 -79% of possible points available in class C 60 -69% of possible points available in class D Below 60% of possible points available in class F Course Policies Online Classroom (Canvas) This course will be delivered via the log in link http://hcc.instructure.com .
