if the two variables differ from one another. The results indicate that the p value is 0.137 with a 0.05 significant level. So, the study design accurately tests the null hypothesis and show that the p value is greater than 0.050. The null hypothesis is rejected and shows there is no significant different between those who receive treatment without mindfulness and those who receive treatment with mindfulness. Simulated Research Study 4 The simulate study explores how technology such as video conference can improve counseling services for alcohol abuse in underserved remote areas. The study design that is being used is thegroup t-test. The study design accurately tests the null hypothesis. The correct statistical test has been used to analyze the data because it compares the two: video conferences and face to face counseling while the dependent variables remains the same. The results indicated t (38) = 0.258, p = .798 is greater than 0.05. The p value is greater showing that there is no significant change; therefore, the null hypothesis is rejected. The implication of the results for the study and the counseling field shows that there is not enough evidence to determine if video conferencing in counseling effectiveness is determine by the limited access in underserved areas.3
