pro bono attorneys. There are ample opportunities—it is just a matter of finding the time.” • “I have already worked on three very different pro bono projects involving three very different practice areas. For each project, I was given a lot of autonomy to work on my own with the supervision of a more senior associate or a partner.” Diversity Efforts • “Efforts to increase diversity have been an emphasis over the last two years, with recent partners joining finance group including a female partner and a partner of Indian descent.” • “The firm has made great strides with its new gender neutral parental leave policy, which is amazing. Reduced hours also allows so much flexibility for parents or people dealing with other situations in life where they need more flexibility. I applaud them for that, although I think reduced hours is still under-utilized and the firm could encourage it more. That being said, there is still a lot of room for improvement with women and minorities. I believe that more bridges need to be made between young female attorneys in the firm and mid or senior level female attorneys (perhaps the same for minorities). It is difficult from the vantage point of a young associate to truly understand how women balance the demands of this career with motherhood and having a 1 hour panel discussion on it simply isn’t enough.” • “As a minority, I can attest to the fact that Winston is very dedicated to promoting all types of diversity within the firm.” • “I think our firm tries very hard to promote diversity. We have many meetings and discussions about promotion and retention of women and minorities. While they are very receptive and make it a strong push, I don’t know that it’s been tremendously effective yet, through no fault of the firm. Hopefully the future will show improvement.”

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
