Stalin took food and property from his own people and didn’t care if they starved at all. He did this so the people would leave the land, and he would be able to use their land for his own purposes. Panic-monger is a term for people who foster a panic. It could be anyone from a man or woman on the streets to a terrorist in another country. Stalin used this term to express Hitler, and make it seem like he was the one who was causing all of the bad things that have happened to Russia. The thing is, Hitler wasn’t the only one causing all of this to happen to Russia, but it was also Stalin himself. Stalin has described Hitler, from a major enemy, to something far above the Devil, so many times. Stalin’s speeches have changed a lot from describing Hitler and about Russia’s power to defeat Germany. Stalin makes the point of how much strength the U.S.S.R. has to defeating Russia and about the defeat of Germany in the near future. He uses this to influence and encourage the U.S.S.R. that they have the size and might to defeat Hitler and the Germans.
