Henry did an amazing job showing how two people love each other with Jim and Della. The fact that they both are not wealthy individuals but are willing to sacrifice something that is important to them shows how strong love can actually be. It is easy to relate to this story because everyone has done something that they essentially did not want to do to show that they loved somebody. It is a part of life.
