am not as confident working with young adults and keeping them engaged and willing to participate. Theoretical I prefer working with Alders theory in group counseling. In in theory your able to use the groups in being able to connect each member at once through the sharing of another member or using a specific topic being discussed, is theory helps to facilitating a group that can maintain cohesiveness. By using alders approach your able to connect as member with yourself and the world. The client’s culture and values are considered in working with is theory which I find to begreat. His approach helps the client find a deeper understand within their self in a group environment. ConclusionIn the future I would want to work with different populations such as those dealing with substance abuse, anxiety etc. I chose substance abuse because it was once something I struggled with and many young adults are currently struggling with. I want to be able to build awareness and support for those struggling with using, dealing with anxiety or depression. I have a better understanding the role of a leader and what it takes to facilitate a group. I know can also work onbeing able to engage in a conversation with a group and the skills it takes.
