(caching) and DHCP (leases) are similar to driving a car and not knowing how much gas you have left or how much gas you need to fill the tank. In the case of MTS, LLC. it’s like not knowing the length of a massage therapy treatment or type of dental procedure needed for the patient due to lack of patient health information, because the network cannot be properly accessed.Ultimately, in order to defend and secure DNS and DHCP, we have to assess the importance to the MTS, LLC. enterprise, consider what the threats or attacks to the DNS server and DHCP software mean for MTS, LLC. and then apply two rules to make DNS and DHCP services more reliable. The first rule is the “bullet proof the infrastructure”, by using the best version of DNS and DHCP. The second rule is to “eliminate single points of failure” by “eliminating common physical and network dependencies, eliminating common software dependencies, and separating system components by function” (Mockapetris, 2003). Basically, that means that MTS, LLC. will have DNS servers on different routers in separate locations and DHCP will use shared address space to achieve the effect of redundancy. DNS and DHCP shouldbe run on different operating systems and its software should be applied differently within the network. Finally, there will be machines designated specifically for hosting DNS and DHCP servers, with the servers being isolated by firewalls and routers. The dentist(s) will be able to video conference with prospective and current patients. Massage Therapists also have the option of video conferencing with their clientele. Telehealth will be set up on the enterprise network using UDP combined with RTP. Video Conferencing or “teleconferencing can be referred a system of communication that allows its users to exchange
11information across a distance through a digital medium” (Oladele, 2019). In a comparative analysis between TCP and UDP, it was concluded that UDP is faster and more reliable than TCP because it uses ‘best effort’ broadcast to send data. UDP doesn’t worry about establishing a connection with a receiver, nor is it too concerned about lost packets. Whatever data shows up at the receiver is still correct, regardless of its completion. In fact, the two network protocols were compared in terms of data transmission characteristics, such as throughput capacity, jitter and delay. RTP is intended for transmission of data in real-time. This includes data like “audio, video, or simulation data, over multicast, or unicast network services” (Gilmer, 2012). RTP applications use UDP for faster delivery of data. This makes it ideal for video conferencing. This fast data transmission is made possible by RTP timestamp, which makes is possible for the receiver to view a data stream exactly as it was sent. Telehealth has Private Health Information (PHI) security issues that were created when the healthcare industry transitioned from paper to electronic PHI records. IT is a “cost-effective method of expanding patient access and holding group consultations and training” (Toperczer, 2017). VMWare software will be used for on-
