The percentage of funding from customer deposits in total funding increased by 16%. • Business results of subsidiaries: Subsidiaries and foreign branches achieved strong growth compared to the previous year. A total earnings before tax was VND 560 million, representing a 39% increase compared to that of 2016. (VietinBank, 2018) 1.5 Assess the future directions of the Vietinbank in terms of, for instance, growth, market objectives, among others From the main object, increase VietinBanktotal assets year by year is the one of the top priority .Further more, their objectives not only be a leading bank in Vietnam but also challenging themselves in the global market. To achieve that, VietinBank need to open more branch in other countries, starting in Asia because of the large number of people who need a qualified job and VietinBank can recruit them cheaper than people in developed country . If VietinBank follow it step by step, they may have their name among leading banks in the world. 2.1 Choose an international bank in Vietnam and describe the differences and similarities between that firm and Vietinbank, including goals and objectives, size, growth, products offered and sustainability approach, among others.
