In 1998 a team of investigators published a study that suggested post-natal MMR vaccine might produce Autism in some children. It claimed that for some children it produces an increase in the measles virus in the body, which in turns leads to an onset of a powerful stomach virus and eventually to Autism. Since this study was done however, all research has argued against the theory. Throughout the world the same prevalence of Autism is found in children with MMR vaccine vs. the children who did not have the vaccine. It is also found that children with Autism do not have

more measles virus in their body than those without Autism. And finally, children with Autism do not have a special stomach virus that was thought to have been the second step in “ contracting” Autism. The study has been showed to be flawed and most likely manipulated and there has been no relationship found between MMR vaccine and Autism. 3-Describe the biological, psychological and sociocultural aspects of someone with a Borderline Personality Disorder (AKA the biopsychosocial model). Describe 2 common difficulties in treating these cases. (10 points) Biological: Overly reactive Amygdala which is closely tied to fear and negative emotions.
