As an analyst, if I were to develop an information system that would provide information from databases to senior executives, then the Unified Process is the way to go. Since this is object oriented, RUP method can allow me to test the software, then go back and make changes. I would also have the freedom to go back redesign if necessary, or even if I needed to go back to analysis phase, it would be no problem. An issue I would note though is that with RUP methodologies, one phase is not elaborated over another; in other words, the entire development process will be left unorganized. Also since this is a big project, multiple development process can lead to more confusion and can result in more errors being made. P. Investigate the Unified Modeling Language on the Web.
