learned that this software was rather easy to use, employees could create unique applications/tables and there would only be a brief migration period. Finally, an Enterprise Resource Planning System, or ERP, did offer the remote access that Kingo was longing for but it was the most expensive option and offered modules that Kingo did not believe would be necessary for his business. With all this combined, we feel that Platform as a Service is Kingo’s best option. This program, though costly, would provide the best short term and long term solution for his business. With PaaS, implementation can be completed in three days, and it is completely customizable to have all the mechanisms Kingo would want in a program. Since this platform
does not require a long-term contract, Kingo is able to cancel the service if ample notice is provided. That way other options can be explored if PaaS is not catering to Kingo’s every need. By introducing PaaS into 1-888-Junk-Van, Kingo would be able to almost immediately rectify his problems and he would no longer have to suspend further bookings to fix mistakes with his old system. While Kingo still plans to conduct business virtually the new system will improve operating conditions, allow him to successfully implement a differentiation focus strategy and hopefully gain back the trust of previous and new customers.
