Managerial control in the information model Have control over everything Control profit o Desire of control steams from not wanting to deal with conflict o Managers are rewarded for "putting out the fires" or "having a tight ship" In-personal metaphors But the corporation profit ahead of the employees o Control and dominance brews resistance o Very expensive Consent o Words and messages have meaning o Corporations get employees who are loyal but they ask a lot from them We willingly give away our loyalties to the corporation "useful idiot" o Employees think they are control since they are giving away their time but the corporation is sucking more out of you. If you want to be good at ___ you need to give up ___. Involvement o Codetermination in the information model o As long as people have the same values, we can have a free flow of information in the market place Not realistic and rarely the case o Company discussions where they air out their issues and make suggestions, etc.
