called, have different values. The millennial generation stretches from 1981-2000, but I feel as if there are two different types of millennials. The older part of the generation seem to have more of a work ethic like the generation before them, and they will stay in a position at a job to ensure that their self and family are taken care of no matter whether they enjoy the position they’re in or not. Whereas the younger part of the generation will change jobs if they don’t like the people they work with or if they feel like the position is not fulfilling enough. This is where it’s important to understand each of your employees are going to be different, and that they’re all going to have different strengths and weaknesses. As a leader of a company, it is important that I understand each employee and what is important to them, and how to assist them in understanding the policies and procedures of our company. Not every employees is going to be the same, and their learning styles are not going to be the same either. This is where it’s very important to understand that you’re going to have to change yourself and be more flexible to not only ensure you’re doing what’s right for your employees and company, but also this will assist in molding you into a great leader.
