As a result of the success of the project, all areas were able to obtain their product for the launch as well as market and anticipate the

All areas are up to date on the information regarding the new product to ensure this product brings in the revenues anticipated from the analysis. Successful meeting the project objectives was executed with ease. The budget for the project was able to be met without having to add additional financial obligations. The end result of the project was also a vehicle that passed all safety and quality requirements. When allocating the budget, all marketing expenses were kept within 20% of the sales and revenue targets. Likewise, research and develop expenses were kept within 15% of sales and revenue targets and labor and production within 12%. Since Tesla has become a well-known name for electric vehicles, the Model 3 product will help establish a brand name and more loyalty amongst the middle-income and lower-income households. Establishing milestones and definitive dates for the project allowed for the successful completion of all objectives. At all weekly status meetings, the project team was able to directly communicate expectations and goals for management and its shareholders. As a result, any issues that aroused were addressed in a group setting and remediated immediately. Going forward on other projects, I would engage a specific team for pricing equipment and supplies. Being that this project is outside of the normal industry, this would allow the project manager to ensure the best prices for equipment, supplies, and warehouses. Adding a social media marketing strategy would also be a good investment for future projects. Social media has become a major part of consumers’ day to day lives. This would allow companies to reach out to more consumers and engage more target audience than they could using traditional forms of advertising and marketing. In addition, this would allow the project manager to reduce the budget for marketing as social media campaigns tend to be more affordable. Another improvement would be to try to minimize the amount of
MODEL 3 LAUNCH-JOHNSONA 25 people on the project team. If similar task can be worked by one person, this would help eliminate potential errors. It would also be easier to manage and communicate more effectively with a smaller team. Lastly, the schedule for the project would be expanded. This project was executed in 30 days. Extending the project timeframe to 90 or 120 days would allow more detail to be spent on each task. This will help eliminate errors and provide additional time for issues and errors that occur during the project. Other than these adjustment, the execution of this project would be mimicked for future projects.
