The two types of information management which are the executive support system and the management information systems are similar in that both are used to process information that is used in decision making at the different levels of management. In this they help in the smooth running of the organization’s operations (Cook, M, 2017). The main difference between the two is that executive support system, collects all the information both internal and external while the management information system is only concerned with information of the internal sources. Also, the executive support system is used by the senior management in making their strategic decisions but management information system is used by the other managers in solving operations problems as well as proper supervision of the day to day activities in the organization.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
