There will be lifetime long restrictions Don’t speak of freedom because the natives are never getting it and they will always live in the shadow of the Europeans In your opinion, does Kipling’s poem more support or oppose imperialism? Support your claim in a paragraph using evidence from the poem. Please write your answer in the space below. There is a general praise for all that the Europeans bring and the struggle they so call go under to hold these nations. The becoming of man and the praise that is obtained. But there is also a large emphasis into what I read as the consequences that the natives have to pay for having to be under the control of the Europeans, which I guess in a way is an incentive for imperialism in the European view. The native’s lives will change forever and their culture might be lost completely. They will be serving the devil who will only bring slavery and destruction. All of their hopes will fall and their names shall be forgotten. But hey, to the colonists who this poem was first addressed to it was for the best. They were superior and could change the lives of the people living across the world just as they had changed theirs while moving to the americas. It was a prompt for US to move away from their isolationist ideas and change the world for the better. COMPLETE AND SUBMIT

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
