Taylor 3 was breaking a rule that I have followed for my whole life, and I was distracting other students who were trying to learn and pass their test or write their papers. After the feeling of guilt went away however I began to feel a sense of excitement to see what reactions I would get next varying from where I was in the library, as if it was a game. I didn’t feel any guilt anymore, cutting off my conscious thought, and not feeling any remorse made it easier to break the social norm. This experience made me understand another view on how people treat society and how people act in society. It displayed the social structure of norms in society and how they guide society into being an obedient follower of the rules that have been placed in front of them. It made me understand that to break a social norm you have to be self-confident enough to not be intimidated to be judged or isolated from the rest of the student body section just cause of an experiment. This breaking of the social norm showed a connection between the interaction of society and those who break social norms and how it can’t affect society

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
