The researcher will come up with a prototype device that will produce electricity by the method of Road Power Generation. Locale of the Study This study conducted in the entrance or exit of Lyceum of Iligan Foundation. These system will be placed at enter point where the vehicle pass through this system. The Lyceum of Iligan Foundation College founded on year 1997 located in Corpus Christi Village, Tubod Iligan City. Materials The following materials to be used in the construction of prototype: (i) Inverter; (ii) 12 VDC Battery; (iii) Flywheel; (v) Alternator; (vi) Rack and Pinion; Tools, Instruments, and Equipment The following are the tools, instruments, and equipment to be used in this study: (i) Multitester; (ii) Pliers; (iii) steel bars; (iv)Welding machines; and (v) Screw driver. 36 Figure 11 below shows the flow of current of road power generation using flywheel system. The kinetic energy from the vehicle applied to the flywheel system connected to the alternator and convert the kinetic energy to electric energy and charge the 12V DC battery and the 12V DC inverted to 220V AC by using inverter to supply the loads. In doing the research, all the materials are carefully connected as shown in figure 11 below. Figure 11. Fabricated Road Power Generation using Flywheel System The assembly was designed such that it will allow horizontal position to support the speed breaker and the rotation of the flywheel. Rack and pinion gears were implemented vertical position to be possible. The rectangular base which are the angle bars supports the entire assembly has dimensions of mechanical part 51 X 91 X 29 centimeter and the electrical parts has dimensions of 34.5 X 40 X 38 centimeter. The alternator is connected to the charge controller via cable then down to the 12V dc battery having a voltmeter parallel to the battery and the battery connected carefully to the inverter and the inverter invert the 12V DC to 220V AC to supply the load. The interconnection between the speed breaker’s components is shown in Figure 14 below.
