Some young adults like in the In-N-Out situation, have prepared themselves to take over since they were younger and have put in time and effort to learn what is important for the company and actually want to keep it successful. I also believe that age plays a part in older adults as well. For example, my father owns and has run his company for the past 18 years with just him and his wife working there. I have three older brothers ages 33-30 and I am 29, we have all worked there throughout high school, and here and there as adults to make extra money but none of us are in a position to take over and run the company successfully if something were to happen to my dad and step-mom. Maturity ultimately is the reason why. My oldest brothers never say eye-to-eye with the way my dad ran his business and never were mature enough to
