Using Theories and Planning Models These are tools available to practitioners Motivation You cannot force people to change, give tools, but useless unless there is motivation. Learning is most effective when it is motivated/reinforced. The learning must seem important Immediate rewards are good! Fear based learning does not work!!! Needs and Abilities Clients can only learn what they can do Health edus must evaluate what a client CAN do. Learning See what is in the range of what is possible to learn The higher edu level, the more effective reading is- evaluate what will be best for health group. The lower the edu level, the more needed visual and oral stimuli will be.
