Educational programs should include cognitive ability, social skills, and communication while working on challenging behaviors. The importance of ABA during educational programs is focusing on behavior intervention while taking data and creating a baseline to monitor improvement. This is significant to my research because it focuses on ABA as a successful approach in communication and educational programs. This article has similarities with the other because it emphasizes the importance of ABA principles in all domains (Handleman & Harris, 2005). Application and Research Vision My vision as a BCBA professional in the field of ABA focuses on finding the best way to deliver the best approach during my assessments with clients. ABA is well recognized across all domains, or areas of deficits in children diagnosed with ASD. My responsibility as a professional in this field requires me to maintain research, collect data, create baselines and utilized evidence- based practices. By doing so, I can acquire better outcomes in children with ASD by improving communication skills, social skills, and activities of daily living while decreasing certain challenging maladaptive behavior (J. Burriesci, personal communication, June 21, 2018). 7

ABA THERAPY AND CHILDREN WITH AUTISM Conclusion Many treatments and approaches have been studied to improve deficits in children associated with Autism. There are many important areas, during our years of development, that can indicate a deficit or neurodevelopmental disorder that will impact our lives. Just like in children with ASD, communication is imperative for socialization. Communication is needed through our daily lives, not just for interactions but also for learning. I would love to research communication while applying ABA principles. To be an expert in ABA requires research and the ability to track progress with data and graphing. I would love to do parent training to teach them the best ways to communicate and apply ABA to their children with ASD. Independence is always wanted in parents with children with autism since their primary concern is who will take care of their children when they are gone. In the future, I will put all my efforts in helping children with ASD to acquire those skills to be self-sufficient and improve their quality of life. 8
