Policy’s Strength and Weakness In the world of HIPAA Law there are many different strength or weakness that could have a positive or negative change for the target population. In one of the positive of the law is to help those with personal privacy in the end is important to everyone. In the HIPAA law they have some very hard laws that when it comes to their own personal information as well their medical history as well any health information. In this law is there to help people no matter of their genetic conditions or any type of discrimination. It can also help people to be able to change the healthcare and to be able to change the healthcare insurance when it is necessary. In interview Tiffany Stickler one of the strengths is that if that they can talk to someone else about achild without haven to sign paperwork within the children home. If one needs to talk to the house parent about a child doctor appointment, then it can be done which is a benefit within the home.
In the many HIPAA has some negative impacts such as the technology as some of the useof the computer and the safety of the data within the system. Personal information can be givenout when it is in an emergency which then the information is given out wrongly then it can also decrease the transfer of personal information. Then also the final con would be that electronic form can change in format frequently. In doing this can also with the change in the format and process which can increase the price of the necessary program to help keep the personal information private. In doing several interviews with Tiffany Stickler some of the negative impacts is that people within the home that people talk about private information in front of otherkids within the home and forget about the privacy issues. In some ways the privacy issues within the children home that more people need to aware of the rules and regulation set as there are rules and regulation. Needs of the Target PopulationIn the New Mexico children home may meet the needs of the target population in many ways such as to help the improvement of the privacy of information of the children. In dealing with the children within the home they can communicate within the home about the necessary child information with others special when they are need of something specific. Within the children home the needs is be able to have each children information on an electronic format thatone can go in there in looking for the right information so more than one person can communicate about the welfare of the child. In the overall need for the HIPAA Law within children home they need to plan a way to communicate the needs of each child in a private manner. In the end within the HIPAA law is to be able to make sure that all the information being stored is kept private in making sure that no one from outside the children home or hospital area do not get access to the information.
